On July 20 in the village of Kortkeros of Komi Republic the festive celebrations took place dedicated to the 75-th anniversary of Kortkeros area formation.

The I International Festival of Blacksmith mastery "Kört Aika" has become the brightest and the most large-scale event of the festival.

Fourteen blacksmiths from Komi Republic, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Kirov, Tikhoretsk have collectively produced the art object – the throne of "Kört Aika", Iron Man, the superhero of Komi folklore. The composition is decorated with national ornaments and elements of Perm animal style. The throne of "Kört Aika" will be set at the shore of the river Kya-Yu.

Every guest of the festival could try his hand in blacksmith skills by minting a commemorative anniversary coin or forging his first nail.

The festival organizers have prepared an extensive cultural itinerary, too.
